EC-CHARGE-EV: Steuergerät für Elektrofahrzeuge

Just as with EC-SIM-EV, the EC-SIM4EMC-EV electronics simulate the behavior of the EV electric vehicle with regard to charging communication. It also assumes the function of an electric vehicle for communication in accordance with DIN 70121 or ISO 15118.

The electronics hardware was specially developed for use in the EMC laboratory, e.g. additional electrical isolation was implemented and further connections were made to the outside. In total, one BNC connection and 4 banana sockets are routed to the outside. These are

Banana socket: CP (Control Pilot) for PWM signal
Banana socket: PE (Protected Earth), i.e. earthing
Banana socket: + PLC signal
Banana socket: – PLC signal
PP signal on BNC

The user interface, which has been specially adapted for EMC laboratories, reduces the necessary user input to the essentials and therefore enables fast and efficient parameterization.

The EC-SIM4EMC-EV electronics are specially optimized for use with a fixed coupling network (ISN – Impedance Stabilization Network).

EC-SIM4EMC-EV for charging communication in accordance with DIN 70121 and ISO 15118 is the ideal solution for carrying out EMC measurements without having to use real electric vehicles.

EC-SIM-EV and EC-SIM-EVSE each provide the simulator, either to charging stations or electric vehicles. Further functional and non-functional features offer additional benefits.

Selection of variants
The electronics form the remote station for charging communication for both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). This means that simple communication via PWM can be implemented in the same way as PLC power line communication. In addition, the two standards for charging communication DIN 70121 and ISO 15118 are fully supported. This flexibility allows you to cover the needs of a wide range of application scenarios.

User-friendly operation
The well-structured and intuitive user interface ensures that you can effortlessly set the required parameters and start emulating the communication behavior according to DIN 70121 and ISO 15118. This enables smooth operation even if you do not have in-depth knowledge of charging communication standards.

Reliable charging communication
EC-SIM-EV and EC-SIM-EVSE provide a reliable remote station for charging communication. They guarantee robust charging communication in accordance with DIN 70121 and ISO 15118, even if the counterpart, i.e. the charging pole or the electric vehicle, deviates from the standards. This ensures that you can also test EVSE charging stations or EV electric vehicles that may not have been implemented in full compliance with the standard in terms of charging communication.

Expert support included
In addition to our high-quality hardware and software solution, a team of experts is available to provide initial commissioning and, if necessary, further support. We ensure that you can exploit the full potential of our charging communication simulators for EV and EVSE.
